My First Christmas Letter…

I’m a Christmas sort of girl so I hope you won’t be too insulted if I go ahead and just wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Years. In the grand tradition of Christmas letters I had great expectations of actually making a proper Christmas letter that I could print out and send with cards to family and friends but it turns out there are only 24 hours in each day (who knew, right?) so this will have to do. I tried once, in college, to write a Christmas newsletter of my own; I thought I had enough news to fill it without being too fatheaded about it and when it was finished I thought it was quite good. Then I sent a copy of it to anyone that I thought might be interested in it and received- surely in the holiday spirit of giving-  a prompt response with the number and nature of my spelling and grammar errors. I was never really inspired to try it again until now.

It seems only right that I should be writing a Christmas letter this year as it is my first Christmas as the freshly minted Ms. Gebien, but as right as it may seem I find that I don’t really have much content to put into it. After all, I’ve only held the title of Ms Gebien now for two months or so.

So lacking any real news to include I suppose I should just go ahead and wish you and yours a wonderful Christmas full of good cheer and happiness.  May you have the time to relax and enjoy it! And of course best wishes for the New Year; may 2011 bring you good luck, good health, and good fortune. Here’s hoping that this recession business is put behind us and that the good times are ahead!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
