Poetry of the Week

If we're going abstract, we might as well go all the way abstract...

If we’re going abstract, we might as well go all the way abstract…

Continuing in last week’s Found Poetry theme, here is this week’s poem based on snippets of conversations, songs, instructions, etc.

Focus is Storytelling,
It’s the music of the light.
Sound is bare feet, sound is not nice shoes,
and most fairy tales are tragic and bizarre.
Fill the theatre,
Move the air,
Play with the Rolling Stones.
Fools stand upon their islands of opportunity and look towards another land,
Acknowledging only the authority of the community within the sound of their own church bells.
There is no other land; there is no other life but this.
Keep your eyes on the road and your hands upon the wheel,
Passionate lady with a wrought iron-soul,
Mind how you go.

Not a long post- I’m on the road at the moment and it is getting late so I’m trying to hastily put something together before bed. Not bad for a week’s worth of inspiration.
