The Shoe Fits

I spent the afternoon thrift shopping with my sisters. The shopping gods were with me today: I walked out of Goodwill with my arms full of good clothes. You can’t go into a Thrift Store looking for something, you have to go in and hope to be inspired. And in this case, I was.

While perusing the shoe racks, I stumbled across a pair of pink suede stiletto heels with bows on the toes. They were 100% not my style, but I tried them on anyway for the heck of it and they fit so perfectly I didn’t want to take them off.

So I bought them.

I mean, half the point of going thrift shopping was to update my look. Clearly it wasn’t a big change: aside from the shoes, everything else I bought was either black or gray in a distinctly professional-casual style, but at least I tried. I mean, tried and true doesn’t mean dead and buried.
